CRACKS

Fiberglass can suffer cracks from time to time, mainly around the plug area and handle part. This will result in leaks and moulding around the bathroom. This type of impair should be looked after really quickly, before it causes more harm, which will result in more charges.

CHIPS AND DENTS

This is very easily done by accidental falls of certain objects. Common ones are razors and bottles. This type of damage is luckily quite easy to repair with a kit and won't cost you a large sum.

DISCOLOURING

This particular point is slightly different as fiberglass can naturally go through discolouring. That being said, if bleaches drain cleaners, or even mild chemicals are used in the household, this phenomenon will happen much faster. You are in luck though, this is easy to repair and does not take a long time.

BURNING

We see burning on fiberglass baths quite often - how it happens, we still want to know. Sometimes it could be a carpet cleaner's mistake, a plumber's mistake or maybe the bath was just bought in this way. In all cases, we are happy to fix these heat burns.

FIXING YOUR FIBERGLASS BATH

Clean The Bath

We clean the area in question by removing all of the debris

Fill In The Area

We fill the area with fiberglass filler, exactly the same material as the bath itself

Patch Up The Job

We use stainless steel gauze to set in the area that was previously patched up

Skim And Sand The Area

We proceed by skimming the filler and sanding it all down to make sure the patch area blends in perfectly with the rest of the bath

Put A Top Coat On And Let It Dry

That's the moral of the story, it's not too complicated and doesn't take very long. Once this process is completed, your bath will be as good as new, once again.
